About the Role
Ometria is seeking a Senior People Partner to join their People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This senior individual contributor role is broad, hands-on, and genuinely varied. You will manage complex employee relations cases, own the HRIS system, partner with managers across five countries, and help embed AI into the People function. Working within a small, high-trust team, you will advise managers, maintain people infrastructure, and provide key support to the Chief People Officer (CPO). The role is central to the business, with a planned start in mid-October to allow for a thorough handover.

Ometria is launching a new product and an internal startup team, offering a unique opportunity to shape the people foundations for this new team. Ometria is a Customer Data and Experience Platform trusted by retailers such as Foot Locker, Sephora, and Steve Madden, with around 130 employees across Europe and North America.

Key Outcomes
- Managers are well supported and trust your advice on people matters
- Employee relations cases are handled effectively, protecting employees and the business
- People systems and processes are accurate, current, and continuously improving
- The business remains compliant and audit-ready across all relevant people obligations
- AI and automation are embedded into the People function to reduce manual effort over time

What You'll Be Working On
People Partnering and Employee Relations
Act as the first point of contact for managers on people matters including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance situations. Advise and coach managers with confidence and good judgment, helping them build capability. Spot and diagnose people issues early, whether in teams or with managers themselves. Coordinate with external employment law advisors on complex cases and keep the CPO and senior management informed. Monitor employment law changes across operating regions and flag implications for policy and practice.

People Operations
Own and manage HiBob HRIS, maintaining accurate records, processing contract changes, onboarding and offboarding, and managing holiday allowances. Coordinate payroll changes with finance. Support salary benchmarking and benefits renewals. Maintain health and safety compliance for the London office. Ensure document hygiene and audit readiness supporting SOC2, ISO, and finance audits. Liaise with Employer of Record providers across Germany, Portugal, Spain, and North America to manage local employment requirements and country-specific people matters.

AI and Process Improvement
Lead embedding AI tools and automation across the People function, identifying opportunities to streamline or eliminate processes and improve ways of working.

New Product Team Establishment
Contribute to building the people foundations for Ometria’s new internal startup team as part of the next product chapter.

Requirements

Experience
At least 5 years in a generalist People/HR role, ideally within a lean, high-growth tech environment. Proven experience working closely with managers across a range of situations and handling a wide variety of employee relations cases. Experience working with external advisors, internal stakeholders, and operational leadership to navigate complex ER matters.

About You
You build trust quickly and help managers improve their teams and themselves. You are operationally excellent, taking ownership of systems and processes to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You are compliance-aware, staying current with employment law changes and maintaining clean records. You are curious and proactive about embedding AI and automation to improve People function delivery. Adaptable to fast-changing priorities and comfortable working with pace and good judgment in ambiguous environments. You possess high emotional intelligence and discretion, handling sensitive matters carefully and knowing when to act or escalate.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a strong generalist HR background and a willingness to learn and adapt are essential.
