About the Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day ordering, receiving, and unpacking of pharmaceutical products from suppliers in accordance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensuring medicines are sourced from credible and reliable suppliers and that purchasing contracts are adhered to is a key part of this role. You will accurately use the pharmacy computer system to receive goods into the pharmacy store following departmental SOPs and ensure all goods are stored under appropriate conditions in line with GDP requirements.
IMPORTANT: All applicants must be willing to undertake National Security Vetting to work in a prison setting. This vetting will be completed as part of pre-employment checks through Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and the prison vetting team. You will be required to provide proof of right to work documentation, photographic ID, proof of address, and additional documentation depending on your nationality and residency history as part of the vetting process.
Experience
Experience in pharmacy or healthcare settings is desirable but not explicitly stated. Ability to follow strict procedures and maintain accurate records is essential.
About you
You must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work within a secure environment. Willingness to undergo National Security Vetting and comply with all security requirements is mandatory. Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team are important.
Qualifications
