About the Role
As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day ordering, receiving, and unpacking of pharmaceutical products from suppliers in accordance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will ensure that medicines are sourced from credible and reliable suppliers and that purchasing contracts are adhered to. Accurate use of the pharmacy computer system to receive goods into the pharmacy store according to departmental SOPs is essential. You will also ensure that all goods received into pharmacy stores are stored under appropriate conditions in line with GDP requirements.

Please note that all applicants must be willing to undertake National Security Vetting to work in a prison setting. This vetting will be completed as part of the pre-employment checks through Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and the prison vetting team.

Experience

About you
You must be willing to undergo National Security Vetting as part of working in a prison environment.
