About this role… We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to join the Lambeth Assessment Centre team. Thames Reach’s hostels are transitional spaces where a 24 hour staff team support people to move in, assess their needs, and quickly identify the best place for them to move on to next. Skilled staff teams develop a personalised support plan to ensure people are ready for their move on and have holistic support with their mental and physical health, substance misuse needs, criminal justice issues and life skills. You will: - Be responsible for directly managing the staff team and overseeing the day to day management of a fast paced assessment centre - Report incidents to senior management and commissioners and ensure staff are aware of and working to health and safety guidelines - Foster a culture of high performance and continual striving to improve upon successes throughout your team. - Develop and manage partnerships with key agencies across London To succeed as the Senior Practitioner you will be - Outcome focussed. -Experience of organising the operations of a complex, busy service. - A decisive and effective leader. - An excellent communicator able to form and maintain effective working relationships with all partners. - Experience directly manage staff, oversee the management of others and ensure the services finances are well managed.
