About the Role
These positions are based nationally. You will work closely with cross-functional product teams to build delivery roadmaps and be responsible for building and maintaining motivated, collaborative project teams. You will identify obstacles and help teams overcome them, focusing on what is most important to the delivery of products and services while encouraging continuous improvement.
You will have a strong infrastructure and/or digital delivery background and enjoy working in a delivery-focused environment with multidisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to engage stakeholders effectively. You will take responsibility for the delivery of projects through their full life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
- Set and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and timely
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Develop sound project plans identifying resources and outputs
- Deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Take ownership of time, quality, and cost for all assigned projects or workstreams
- Execute project lifecycle in accordance with in-house processes, embracing Agile delivery
- Support procurement of third-party services and ensure commercial controls are adequate
- Provide effective risk management

Experience
- Previous experience working in a large digital organisation or demonstrable understanding of how large digital organisations operate
- Accountable for successful delivery of a project or workstream
- Prior project team management experience, including supporting junior staff
- Experience working in an Agile environment

- Ability to work with technical and business stakeholders to drive out needs and interpret between them
- Capability to decide direction and methodology for projects
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to provide expert advice to senior grades
Desirable
- Experience working with digital and technology products planned for the HMCTS estate
