About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity at Ogilvy Health UK to play a key role in elevating social capabilities for 2026 and beyond. As a Senior Social Strategist within the Social Strategy team, you will collaborate closely with clients to deeply understand their businesses, target audiences, and brand values, developing bold creative strategies that address their unique challenges. You will take full ownership of key workstreams, leveraging your deep social knowledge to develop innovative strategic solutions. Working alongside Ogilvy’s wider strategy community, you will engage with specialists in PR, influence, brand, experience, behavioural science, and consulting.
As a mentor and leader, you will guide and support junior team members in their professional growth and strategic development, advocating for diversity of thought and championing inclusive approaches. You will help redefine Ogilvy’s social and content offer and contribute to realizing the global ambition of building social brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of social and content strategies, playbooks, workshops, and measurement frameworks.
- Adapt strategic outputs based on client needs including tissue decks, strategic responses, and workshops.
- Define brands’ role of social and create messaging frameworks with clear content pillars aligned to overall brand vision.
- Build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues, selling strong strategic thinking.
- Develop strategic creative territories and write clear briefs for creative teams.
- Articulate social-first creative ideas to clients.
- Mine insights and solve creative problems by leveraging business data and diverse sources.
- Interpret reporting data to suggest campaign or organic social improvements.
- Inspire stakeholders through compelling storytelling and presentations.
- Design and lead workshops and client presentations, acting as a strategic partner.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering growth and upskilling on social strategy.
- Maintain deep understanding of social best practices, trends, tools, and technologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing Science partners and other teams to ensure campaign alignment.
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals with industry insights and creative ideas.
