About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join as a Senior Social Work Practitioner to assist the senior members in supervising social care staff to effectively manage their casework, oversee the team's duty system, undertake and oversee safeguarding enquiries, as well as manage a small complex caseload. You will carry a caseload of complex cases, including those with high levels of risk, and provide both formal and informal supervision to other team members. Additionally, you will assist in the day-to-day running of the team, deputise in the absence of the Team Manager and Deputy, and contribute to service development as part of the Lead Practitioner group.

The Community Learning Disability Team is a friendly, motivated, and dedicated group of Social Care Staff. We undertake care management and safeguarding responsibilities in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant adult social care legislation and guidance. Our team collaborates closely with a multi-disciplinary health team to support adults with Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs, ensuring a smooth transition for young people eligible for adult social care.

Experience
You must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England and have relevant post-qualifying experience. Experience of undertaking adult safeguarding enquiries and managing high volumes of work is essential. Supervisory experience of social care staff would be an advantage.
About you
You should possess excellent communication skills, sound knowledge of relevant legislation, and the ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with people.
Qualifications
A qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England are required.
