Experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Professional software development experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience leading architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Experience programming within the last 3 years
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Rust, C, or Java with 3+ years experience
- Experience with low-level optimizations and eBPF
- Experience building large-scale web services backed by cloud services such as AWS
- Experience operating large scale systems

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
- Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
- Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and REST
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex technical systems
- Experience bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch
