About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and motivated technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join our UK Solutions Architecture team. You will work closely with AWS customers in the Travel and Hospitality industry, understanding their unique needs and challenges. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will blend business acumen with technical guidance to engage organizations at all stages of cloud adoption, helping them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology and driving innovation.

You will manage the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, leading architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos, and technical workshops. Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, you will influence decision-making and act as the voice of the customer internally to inform AWS feature roadmaps. You will collaborate with account management, professional services, support, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

This role offers the opportunity to creatively link technology to tangible solutions, educate customers on the art of the possible, and share best practices at scale through technical content and reference architectures. Use cases include Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security. You will receive support to deepen your expertise in both industry and technology domains.

Experience
- Design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures
- IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries
- Expertise in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
- Ability to define and communicate Generative AI strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable GenAI solutions
- Strong understanding of the Generative AI ecosystem, including prompt engineering, agentic AI frameworks, vector databases, and responsible AI principles such as governance and bias mitigation

About you

Able to build trusted relationships with customers at all levels, including C-suite and Line of Business stakeholders. Passionate about innovation and driving change to achieve better customer outcomes. Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and sharing the voice of the customer internally.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using Linux/Unix and Windows, including server, load balancing, high availability/disaster recovery, and storage architectures
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking
- Knowledge of SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects) and their architecture and infrastructure needs is a plus
