The Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager will be responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies to create new partnerships (sponsorships) in EMEA, primarily within Cricket with a secondary focus on wider partnership opportunities.
This role focuses on initiating, driving and securing new business relationships and contracts, requiring the ability to engage multiple industries and identify potential business opportunities for brands. You will discover and initiate new partnerships and prospective brand clients that generate revenue through new partnership and sponsorship agreements. Building and fostering relationships with C-Level marketing decision makers is critical.
You will work closely with all PD team members globally for planning, as well as with clients, prospects, rights holders, suppliers and media contacts collaboratively and independently. Key responsibilities include developing a strong business presence across specific sectors, generating sales leads by maintaining and growing relationships with key sport industry players, and analysing each brand’s target audiences, business objectives and strategies to effectively sell THE·TEAM’s capabilities and rights.
Additional responsibilities include targeting and maintaining senior-level relationships, providing strategic outreach to prospective clients, leading proposal and presentation development, driving new concept ideation and design processes to maintain THE·TEAM’s industry leadership, and actively participating in delivering the company’s credentials to win new business. Identifying revenue generating opportunities with a focus on the broader THE·TEAM group is also essential.
Experience
- 5-8+ years in a similar role with a proven record of success in international partnership development across multiple sectors
- Proven knowledge and passion for Cricket
- Demonstrated success in initiating and driving new business relationships
- Prior agency and business development experience, including managing brands using event, digital and brand marketing techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated empathy and commitment to success
- Proven ability to manage expectations effectively
