About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Stewardship, this role is part of the Stewardship team within the Responsible Investment group at Man Group. The Senior Stewardship Analyst will focus on implementing stewardship approaches, including proxy voting and engagement across Man Group’s investment capabilities. Key responsibilities include working collaboratively with portfolio managers and other investors to deliver tangible results at investee companies, utilising company disclosures and third-party research to conduct non-financial analysis assessing adherence to ESG market standards across industries, and supporting junior team members in defining ESG best practices. The role involves identifying issuers for targeted engagement based on materiality frameworks and strategic importance, leading engagements with corporate representatives on ESG matters such as climate change, biodiversity, human rights, and corporate governance, and managing engagement and proxy voting-related queries in due diligence questionnaires or Requests for Information. Additionally, the Senior Stewardship Analyst will drive the development and maintenance of stewardship-related policies and contribute to international stewardship codes’ requirements.

Experience
Proven knowledge of corporate governance, stewardship, and shareholder rights and responsibilities, with a strong understanding of wider responsible investment issues. Experience in conducting ESG analysis and engagement is essential.

Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and holistic thinking approach.
Qualifications
A degree in finance, economics, business, law, or other relevant subjects. Professional qualifications in finance or ESG such as IMC, CFA Level 1, CFA in ESG investing, or other relevant certifications are desirable. Strong IT skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
