About the Role
This is a great opportunity for aspiring Registered Building Control Inspectors. Brent is a vibrant London borough characterized by its diversity and unique cultural heritage. As part of our transformation agenda, we are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor at RBI Class 2E-2F. You will be responsible for delivering an effective Building Control Service on various domestic, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Your role will involve administering the surveying requirements for an area of the borough, handling all aspects of building control and regulations inquiries, and supervising other officers. You will also participate in the dangerous structures out-of-hours service, for which you will receive a monthly allowance.

Experience
Relevant Building Control knowledge and experience dealing with Building Regulation applications at plan examination and site inspection stages.

About you
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, forward-thinking, ambitious, and customer-focused surveyors. You should be registered under a credited institute and on your way to becoming a fully chartered professional. Effective communication skills with all stakeholders are essential, along with technical soundness to promote and represent the Building Control service.

Qualifications
A full driving license and the use of a car are required for this position. You will receive car mileage allowance and a parking permit for use within the borough. You will be encouraged to work towards the BSR Class 2(E/F) and undertake ongoing CPD training via the myLABC programme and your own Professional Institutes requirements.
