About the Role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for clients. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. Applying AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, you will demonstrate technical credibility across diverse stakeholders, distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade-off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact.

As an experienced technology program/project manager, you will lead and manage complex cloud migration and transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality parameters. You will develop and execute project plans with agility to meet evolving business objectives, build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across customers, partners, and internal teams, and drive key decisions while resolving risks and issues.

You will establish robust governance models, project structures, and communication plans, lead multidisciplinary teams of technical specialists, and ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements. This role requires bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and aligning with customer business outcomes.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize their desired business outcomes using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide focused guidance through global specialty practices covering various solutions, technologies, and industries.

Eligibility for UK Government Security Clearance is required for this role.

Experience
- Leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements
- Knowledge of technology principles and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms, and consumer-facing technology
- Leading multiple Agile teams concurrently or at scale

About you
- Strong technology and program/project management skills
- Ability to validate technical solutions against business goals and manage technical risks
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of business across organizations

Qualifications
- Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2) preferred
- AWS certification preferred
- Experience delivering customer engagements in a professional services role preferred
- Familiarity with Agile and project management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne, or Taiga
