About the Role
Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to support European Data Center infrastructure growth initiatives. The TIPM will lead cross-functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of data center expansion projects, meeting the demands of our rapidly growing business. This role involves managing multi-discipline, highly technical physical infrastructure project teams through all stages of the Data Center development lifecycle—from initial site due diligence through construction and into operation.
The core responsibility is to deliver capacity for customers by developing delivery programs, identifying risks, and resolving issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The TIPM partners with internal teams such as Real Estate, Energy, Design Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, and Operations, as well as external stakeholders including contractors and colocation vendors.
Key responsibilities include breaking down large complex projects into manageable parts, clearly communicating goals and roles to cross-functional and remote teams, managing end-to-end program delivery for Colo, Hybrid Colo & AWS Leased/Owned Data Centers in the EMEA region, maintaining delivery program and project budgets, and supporting continuous process improvements. Up to 25% travel within EMEA is expected.
This role requires operating fluently as a Project Manager with strong knowledge of project management tools, principles, communication, and reporting. The TIPM will report regularly to senior leadership on project status and key metrics.
