About the Role
As a Senior Technical Product Manager (Design System) at JPMorganChase, you will lead the strategy and execution of an internal platform used by multiple teams. The experience layer primarily involves React Native on native iOS/Android foundations, with the Design System also spanning web platforms such as internal tools and marketing experiences. The team is currently centralised, but you will help scale a model that encourages high-quality contributions from other squads while maintaining safe and predictable changes for consumers.

Your responsibilities will include owning the vision, multi-quarter strategy, and OKRs for the Design System across mobile and web, focusing on adoption, accessibility, delivery efficiency, UI consistency, and change safety. You will build and maintain a prioritised roadmap covering components, tokens, tooling, documentation, and platform standards. Establishing strong platform product operations such as scalable intake, triage, prioritisation, and transparent decision-making will be key.

You will define and evolve governance and contribution models to increase contributions from product squads, including contributor onboarding, standards, review workflows, templates, "paved roads," and clear ownership boundaries. Additionally, you will own release/versioning and change management across React Native/native and web consumers, managing changelogs, deprecations, migration playbooks, and rollout communications.

Championing accessibility-by-default and quality guardrails, such as visual regression testing, linting, and documented usage patterns, will help reduce defects and prevent incidents. You will partner with Design and Engineering leaders to ensure tokens and components remain aligned with brand, usability, and performance requirements across platforms.

Experience
- Significant product management experience delivering software end-to-end across the SDLC with a strong track record in Agile delivery.
- Prior experience owning a Design System and/or internal platform product used by multiple teams, including adoption and governance.
- Technical fluency across React Native, native foundations, and web UI ecosystems, understanding how teams consume shared component libraries and tokens.
- Proven ability to lead through influence across many squads with strong stakeholder management and clear written communication.
- Experience defining measurable outcomes (OKRs/metrics) and using data and feedback to drive prioritisation.

About you
- Strong collaborator and influencer capable of scaling a Design System from a centralised model to a higher-contribution (federated or hybrid) model.
- Experienced in running major migrations such as design token re-platforming, breaking component changes, and cross-platform theming updates.
- Deep accessibility domain knowledge for mobile and web, with experience embedding accessibility into system standards and tooling.
