About the Role
The Senior Technical Program Manager will be responsible for optimizing the technical attributes of Amazon's last-mile vehicle fleet across the EU. You will own critical work-streams focused on maintaining the fleet at the highest possible standards, balancing data-driven insights with field observations to protect customers, the fleet, and operations. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and effective communication across cross-functional teams. You will navigate complex technical challenges, deliver fact-based solutions, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.

The Last Mile team within Amazon Logistics is dedicated to innovating delivery experiences by introducing pioneering products and services. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly visible program impacting a fleet of over 30,000 vehicles and to help shape the future of last-mile delivery. The team is small, agile, and technically astute, continuously seeking process improvements and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the optimization and innovation of technical attributes of the expanding vehicle fleet
- Drive planning, resolution, and execution of complex technical projects independently
- Identify improvement opportunities and manage projects from concept to implementation
- Challenge internal stakeholders and external partners on practices and capabilities
- Demonstrate strong ownership, bias for action, and ability to create and execute action plans
- Utilize strong analytical skills and data tools to make informed decisions
- Manage risks, execution, and reporting with excellent project management skills

A Day in the Life
A typical day involves balancing reactive escalations about field issues, progressing project work to resolve these issues, and participating in weekly team and development activities. Prioritization and adaptability are critical in this fast-paced, rewarding, and challenging environment.

Requirements

Experience
- Extensive experience in technical program management, technical development, or related roles within commercial mobility (vans, trucks, buses) or the automotive industry
- Proven track record working with cross-functional teams and managing complex technical programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in business reporting and data-driven decision making

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred
- Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
- Experience aggregating information and effectively communicating to senior management and stakeholders
