As a Senior Technologist, you will lead project teams, write full specifications, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. You will run several on-site projects, delegating tasks to junior team members and outsourcing partners as needed. Your role includes managing your own workload, supervising others, and responding to complex queries from internal and external clients while coordinating with other consultants.

Reporting to the regional director, you will manage a small team within the London studio and play a key role in managing client relationships. You will be involved at all project stages, running projects from start to finish to ensure client satisfaction, profitability, and timely delivery. You will take the lead on technical delivery stages, develop initial proposals, manage fees and invoicing, and contribute to winning new work.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience running large scale projects (£20m+) or similar
- Experience in refurbishment/retrofit, ideally of heritage buildings
- Ability to manage and delegate workload to junior team members and outsourcing partners
- Experience managing small teams and working independently
- Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Interest in innovative offsite/Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and net zero carbon buildings
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering projects profitably and on time

Qualifications and Skills
- Ensuring compliance with design, legal, statutory, and professional requirements for large and complex projects
- Managing the design process and development of construction projects
- Coordinating design teams and associated professional consultants
- Taking briefs and developing initial proposals for technical delivery stages
- Producing, managing, controlling, and integrating design and production information
- Producing, analysing, and advising on specifications, materials selection, and detailed design solutions
- Good understanding of developing technical specifications to support work packages
- Evaluating and advising on refurbishment, repair, reuse, recycling, and deconstruction of buildings
- In-depth knowledge of Revit
- Monitoring financial performance of projects

Desirable Skills
- Assessing and prioritising client and user needs and agreeing project briefs
- Developing project design, researching problems, and advising on innovative solutions
- Appraising building performance in use and maintaining maintenance management information systems
- Working knowledge of Dynamo scripting and NBS Chorus
- Experience in education and healthcare sectors
- Experience managing remote outsourced technical delivery partners
- Knowledge and experience of MMC solutions
