About the Role

As a Senior Transition Manager supporting our work with Wellcome Trust, you will lead complex IT outsourcing transitions that underpin critical research and innovation. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end transition success, ensuring seamless service continuity and long-term value for a globally respected, mission-led organisation.

Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you will take ownership of outcomes, influence senior stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful change across the Life Sciences and non-profit sectors. Your role includes leading and delivering end-to-end IT outsourcing transition programmes, managing transition plans, RAID logs, budgets, and governance, coordinating multi-vendor and stakeholder engagement, assuring service readiness and operational handover, mitigating risks and issues, and reporting progress to senior stakeholders.

Experience
- Extensive experience leading complex IT outsourcing transitions
- Strong knowledge of 1st-generation outsourcing transitions is highly desirable
- Experience within non-profit, Life Sciences, or research environments preferred
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders in complex organisations
- Strong proficiency in transition governance, RAID management, and reporting

You thrive in stakeholder-rich, governance-driven environments and are proactive in managing risks, dependencies, and change.

Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent are required.
