Part-time, with course dates and times generally during daytime or evening; flexible and planned around your availability to support work-life balance.

Salary
Up to £28.78 per hour (depending on your level of teaching qualification and the course level taught)

About the Role
Join our dedicated team at Havering Adult College and make a meaningful difference by sharing your skills and industry experience. This role involves teaching Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Early Years and Teaching Assistant courses. You will prepare and deliver engaging teaching and learning activities tailored to individual learner needs, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback. Delivering Pre-Course Interviews to ensure appropriate learner placement is also required. You will maintain accurate assessment records and meet targets while using a variety of teaching methods, including essential e-learning tools. A commitment to developing innovative teaching approaches to motivate learners is vital. Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of Equality and Diversity and comply with Safeguarding regulations concerning children and vulnerable adults. Travel to and from delivery centres is the responsibility of the post holder.

Experience
- Extensive experience teaching Vocational Teaching Assistant/Early Years qualifications
- Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience mentoring learners
- Experience working with diverse and challenging learner groups (desirable)
- Experience undertaking internal quality assurance (desirable)

About You
- Ability to take initiative and produce/use teaching resources
- Commitment to developing and using new teaching methods
- Understanding of Equality and Diversity principles
- Appreciation of Safeguarding requirements for children and vulnerable adults
- Knowledge of the local area and community (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence

Qualifications
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification for post-compulsory settings (e.g. CTLLS or CET) minimum*
- Assessor certificate – TAQA Level 3 or equivalent
- IQA certificate – TAQA Level 4 or equivalent (desirable)
- GCSE Grade 9-5 in English and Maths or equivalent
- Consideration given to exceptional applicants willing to gain required qualifications if successful
