About the Role
As a Sheltered Housing Manager within Camden Council's Housing Management division, you will promote, encourage and support the continued independence and well-being of sheltered housing tenants by identifying, enabling and meeting their housing and support needs. You will assess, review and respond to ongoing support and housing requirements appropriately. This role involves developing and maintaining constructive relationships with tenants, carers, partners, service providers and the wider community involved with the sheltered schemes.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
Experience
Experience working with older people or vulnerable adults in either a paid or voluntary capacity is essential. Understanding the importance of delivering resident-centred services is key.

You are a compassionate, proactive and customer-focused individual passionate about supporting older people and vulnerable adults to live independently and thrive within their communities. You have a good understanding of safeguarding principles as they apply within a sheltered housing environment. Knowledge of welfare benefits and the ability to support residents in maximising their income is advantageous. You are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, recognising and responding to the needs of residents from diverse ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds.
You are confident working on your own initiative, managing a varied workload and balancing competing priorities while responding appropriately to emergencies and unforeseen situations in line with agreed procedures. You demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, ensuring residents live in a safe and supportive environment.
