About the Role
The AWS Global Real Estate Team is seeking a Site Acquisitions Manager to help expand our Data Center portfolio and related infrastructure across EMEA. In this role, you will shape and execute strategies to identify and secure sites, negotiate multi-million dollar real estate and infrastructure contracts, and deliver the infrastructure needed to support best-in-market Data Center projects. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders including product teams, energy, fiber, design, construction, legal, and tax to ensure alignment with technical and business requirements. This role involves managing multiple complex contract negotiations, preparing financial analyses and transaction summaries for senior management, and being involved throughout the full construction process including site utilities and data center-specific power.
You will be part of a diverse team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, supporting all AWS data centers worldwide. This is an opportunity to work on challenging problems with a team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, all committed to delivering the highest standards of safety, security, and cost efficiency. The role requires approximately 50% travel both domestically and internationally.
Experience
- 5-10 years of commercial real estate transaction experience, preferably in industrial/office development and leasing or related fields
- Demonstrated skills in real estate transaction negotiation and development
- Experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts
- Ability to manage multiple complex contract negotiations simultaneously

- Willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time, domestically and internationally

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification in Real Estate, Development, Management, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent professional certification
- Preferred: Data center development experience
- Preferred: International real estate experience within EMEA
