About the Role
The Site Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operational management of one or more primary care practice sites to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role provides leadership across reception, administration, and site support functions while working closely with clinical teams to deliver an excellent patient experience. Key responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating site operations, maintaining appointment flow, supporting workforce planning, and ensuring operational cover across sites. The post holder will lead staff recruitment, induction, training, appraisals, and performance management while promoting a positive team culture and staff wellbeing. The role also carries responsibility for compliance with NHS standards, Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, infection prevention and control measures, health and safety, business continuity planning, and quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Site Operations Manager supports facilities management, digital transformation, information governance, and effective communication between leadership teams and site staff to ensure consistent, patient-centred service delivery.
Experience
Proven experience in operational management within a healthcare or primary care setting is highly desirable. Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating site operations is essential.
