Description

Location
Hybrid working pattern. Ideally one day a week in London, remote otherwise.

Hours
Part-time, 2 to 3 days per week.

Salary
£38,000 to £45,000 FTE, pro rata (approximately £15,000 to £27,000 depending on days and experience).

About the Role
We are two established, profitable UK finance and accounting businesses: one advising fast-growing startups and scaleups, and the other an accounting practice built for early-stage founders. Having grown almost entirely on reputation and referral, we are now bringing content creation in-house and seeking a Social Media and Content Manager to own this area.

This role involves producing content primarily on LinkedIn, alongside Instagram and short-form video, across a mix of founder and company accounts. You will write in several distinct voices, maintaining clear differentiation between the business and named individuals. Working within existing brand positioning, tone of voice, and guidelines, you will apply and improve these consistently across two brands and multiple individuals.

Design responsibilities include creating carousels, static graphics, thumbnails, and other visuals that support the writing. While this is not a graphic design role, you must demonstrate competence and good taste working within brand guidelines using tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe.

Video work includes directing shoots, being present during filming, and editing short-form vertical videos.

Judgement is key: deciding what content is worth sharing each week and identifying stories within the business worth telling.

You will own the content process end to end, executing ideas yourself without an agency or production team. Initially, you will work collaboratively with close review and feedback, learning two brands and multiple voices. The goal is to become a confident, autonomous content lead who understands the business deeply, publishes with minimal oversight, and proactively suggests new directions.

This is a permanent role reporting to a co-founder, with an expectation of long-term growth and broader remit over time.

Requirements

Experience
- Enough experience to have developed strong instincts rather than relying on process.
- Proven track record of successful campaigns and the ability to discern what works before publishing.
- Ideally experience in B2B or professional services content, understanding the distinct tone required compared to consumer brands.
- Confident managing video production end to end, including directing and editing.
- Comfortable working in a small business environment with fast decisions, direct feedback, and no layers.

About you
- A genuinely strong writer, able to convincingly write in someone else’s voice.
- You have a clear point of view and are comfortable challenging assumptions rather than just executing briefs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively.
- Flexible and adaptable to a hybrid working pattern, with willingness to attend London-based filming sessions as needed.

Qualifications
- No formal qualifications specified; the role prioritizes experience, writing skill, and practical content creation ability.
- Employed position rather than freelance, with potential discussion of day rates for the right candidate.
