About the Role
Living Things is one of the fastest-growing drinks brands in the UK, with listings in every major grocer, the best independents, and 20+ international markets. Less than three years into our mission to make soft drinks that are delicious and guilt-free, we are expanding our team. We seek individuals who want real ownership and the opportunity to build one of the UK's defining consumer brands. Our goal is to create a Living Things brand world that consumers want to be part of, with distinctive marketing that clearly differentiates us from competitors.
The Social Media Manager plays a key role in bringing that brand world to life online, owning our channel strategy and content to build a genuine community of soda lovers around Living Things. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and line managing the Marketing & Partnerships Executive, this role is accountable for growing our social presence, creating culturally relevant content and partnerships, and supporting sampling, trade, and new product development moments with best-in-class social activation.
The Social Media Manager will own social strategy end-to-end, from content pillars and calendar through to creation, community management, and performance reporting, working with structure, pace, and independence as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy & Content
Own the organic social strategy across Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn, developing platform-specific approaches that grow our community of soda lovers and drive engagement
Co-own the Living Things Tone of Voice, ensuring it is expressed across all digital touchpoints
Partner closely with our Creative Lead on ideation and creation, shaping social-first concepts and content that bring key campaign moments to life online
Plan and execute a calendar of cultural activity, including standalone tactical moments and brand collaborations
Community & Performance
Own community management (DMs and comments) with clear timeframes and consistent, accountable execution
Track, analyse, and report on channel performance, using insight to continuously test, learn, and refine our content approach
Work closely with our brand experience team to ensure activations are planned and executed with social media impact in mind, contributing ideas at the planning stage and supporting delivery to maximise reach and engagement
Partnerships & Influencer Marketing
Identify and arrange collaborations with great-fit creators, influencers, and brands, working strategically on the best way to engage them, from events to send-outs
Help establish our brand ambassador programme from the ground up, starting small and building out as we learn what works
Line manage our Marketing & Partnerships Executive, scaling and crystallising our influencer programme into a more structured, strategic approach
Trade & Commercial Support
Develop social campaigns that support strong launches with key customers
Champion our independent stockists through an ongoing programme of content support
Ensure all activations are well covered on social, positioning Living Things as the most culturally relevant brand in our category
Experience
3–5 years' experience in social media management or content creation, ideally within CPG, F&B, or a high-growth consumer brand
Proven experience owning organic strategy across at least two core platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn), including a track record of platform-specific content that has driven measurable growth in reach or engagement
Hands-on experience filming, editing, and producing short-form video content, using tools such as CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
Some experience with influencer or creator outreach and relationship management, from initial contact through to briefing and delivery
Demonstrated experience managing community engagement at pace, including response-time standards and escalation handling
Confident working with social analytics and reporting tools, and using performance data to inform content and campaign decisions
Experience line managing, coaching, or mentoring at least one direct report or junior team member
About you
Good copywriting skills, with the ability to write and brief on-brand content across formats
Highly organised, able to manage a live content calendar and multiple concurrent campaigns end-to-end
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a track record of working with limited approval cycles
