About the Role
As a Social Worker with Young Lives vs Cancer, you will provide specialist support to children and young people living with cancer and their families. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care, addressing emotional, social, and practical needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients during challenging times, advocating for their rights and wellbeing throughout their treatment journey.
Experience
Proven experience in social work, preferably within paediatrics or healthcare settings. Experience supporting children, young people, and families affected by serious illness is highly desirable.
About you
Compassionate, resilient, and able to work effectively under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications
Qualified Social Worker with registration to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Relevant post-qualification experience and training in child and family social work is preferred.
