About the Role
Rufus is a generative AI-powered shopping assistant within the Amazon Shopping app designed to help customers find and discover the best products by assisting with product research, providing comparisons and recommendations, and answering specific product questions. We are seeking passionate pioneers in technology, innovation, and customer experience to join the Rufus team. In this role, you will design and lead the development of unique and engaging features used by millions of customers worldwide. You will be part of a creative team that encourages experimentation and innovation, building quick prototypes and proofs of concept in collaboration with other technology leaders. You will tackle challenging and novel technical problems daily and work closely with multiple Amazon teams. Experience
- Professional software development experience (non-internship)
- Programming proficiency in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience with the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Preferred: Experience contributing to architecture and design of new and existing systems including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling
