Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching? Prime Video is a premium streaming service offering customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies, including Amazon Originals, exclusive licensed content, and live sports events. Members can also subscribe to add-on channels or rent and buy new release movies and TV box sets on the Prime Video Store.

Prime Video is a fast-paced, growth business available in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. The team works in a dynamic environment where innovating on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to own and deliver exceptional Web Client experiences for Prime Video. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers building and improving the Prime Video web application used by millions of customers worldwide. You will drive technical execution, raise the quality bar, and leverage AI-driven approaches to accelerate development and testing of the web experience.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners including product, design, and platform teams to deliver features that delight customers. Your strong technical judgment, combined with a passion for developing engineers and delivering results, will directly impact how customers discover and enjoy content on the web.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the delivery and quality of the Prime Video Web Client experiences, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
- Lead and develop a team of software engineers by setting clear expectations, removing blockers, and providing coaching and hands-on technical guidance.
- Apply AI-driven approaches to testing and development workflows to improve quality and velocity across browsers and devices.
- Establish and maintain mechanisms to monitor customer experience, software quality, and operational health, proactively identifying and addressing issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across product, design, and platform engineering to plan and deliver on the Web Client roadmap.

About the Team
Amazon is a place where builders can build. From day one, you will work with experienced engineers, designers, and applied scientists who love what they do. If you are interested in leading key strategic programs for Prime Video with worldwide impact, enjoy launching products and services that enable new business opportunities, and delivering innovative, industry-leading features to customers, we would love to talk with you!

Requirements

Experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
- Experience in engineering and leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
- Experience working directly within engineering teams and managing engineers.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems with focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

About You
- Strong technical judgment and passion for developing engineers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills in software development management.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse team culture.
