About the Role
As a Software Engineer in the Credit Technology team within the Commercial and Investment Bank at JPMorganChase, you will deliver best-in-class IT solutions to support Credit Trading. Working in an agile environment, you will enhance and design software components for state-of-the-art technology products. Your responsibilities include executing software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, helping to ensure our systems are secure, stable, and scalable. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include developing robust, performant pricing, trading, and risk systems by building and enriching applications with suitable technologies; aligning development efforts with the overall Credit Trading strategy; collaborating across the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and handover; interfacing pricing and analytic components in Python with the QR team; and demonstrating best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including testing, code review, status reporting, and focusing on application resilience.

Requirements

Experience
- Strong analytical development skills and solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Experience developing solutions for real-time, resilient, high-performance risk, pricing, and eTrading systems
- Proficiency in building and testing applications using Python
- Experience writing tests, performing object modeling, and refactoring code
- Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically, translating requirements into technical design and implementation
- Effective prioritization, collaboration, and clear communication skills

- Committed to following strong software development processes including build, test, and deploy cycles

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline preferred
- Experience building highly performant and resilient enterprise applications in high-performance or real-time environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with Java development and relational database systems is a plus
