About the Role

You will work on technically complex, mission-critical systems supporting government agencies in high-value, secure operations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute end-to-end to the design, development, and delivery of innovative software solutions that directly impact system performance, resilience, and security.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts and architects, to solve challenging problems using innovative and analytical approaches. Your responsibilities will include implementing new features, optimising existing functionality, configuring and integrating software components, maintaining deployment environments, and supporting live systems to ensure continuous, secure service delivery.

Due to the secure nature of this project, candidates must hold or be eligible for a high level of UK Security Clearance. Eligibility requires sole British nationality, UK residency for the past 10 years, and no more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK within the last five years. Candidates without current clearance are encouraged to apply and may be considered for this and other suitable roles within CGI.
Experience
Experience in one or more of the following technologies is desirable:
- Programming Languages: Java, Python, RUST
- Frontend Frameworks: Vue.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
- Scripting & Automation: Bash, Ansible
- DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform
- Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS or equivalent cloud platforms
- Testing & Quality: Cucumber, SonarQube
- Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana
- Dataflow & Integration: Apache NiFi
We welcome candidates with depth in a particular language or specialism as well as those with broader full-stack expertise. Experience across multiple areas is desirable but not mandatory.
