Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience building production software in Python
- Experience with FastAPI or a similar web framework
- Strong understanding of ETL/data-mapping patterns, transforming inconsistent source data into normalized target schemas
- Hands-on experience with structured data validation (e.g. JSON Schema)
- Professional experience with Docker, including multi-stage builds
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design
- Proficient with Git and standard version-control workflows in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
- Comfortable working in a strictly typed, linted Python codebase (type hints, static type checking, enforced formatting/linting standards)

- Track record of shipping and owning features in production
- Clear communicator able to explain technical decisions and collaborate with product and client-facing teams
- Close attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, critical for regulatory filings
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment resolving ambiguity in incomplete or inconsistent data specifications
Qualifications
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with DuckDB or other embedded/columnar analytical engines
- Interest or experience in financial services or regulatory reporting domains (loans, deposits, securities, liquidity, credit risk, capital)
- Experience processing large volumes of data and maintaining multiple similar-but-distinct integrations
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open, schema-driven data standards
