About the Role
Join Amazon Security to build the libraries, collection infrastructure, and streaming systems that make security observable across all of Amazon, capturing billions of events per second. As a Software Development Engineer, you will work on internal frameworks, build ingestion pipelines, and own end-to-end platforms that power threat detection and AI security monitoring at scale. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining client-side libraries and frameworks that instrument services with security logging at minimal developer effort, building and operating distributed streaming infrastructure to collect, normalize, and deliver security events at massive scale, and defining and evolving event schemas that balance security coverage needs against producer adoption. You will also develop monitoring and detection capabilities for AI/ML workloads in a fast-moving space, write clean, well-tested, production-ready code with automated testing, continuous deployment, and observability as standard, participate in an on-call rotation to investigate operational issues and drive long-term fixes, and mentor teammates through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
