As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase in Global Technology Asset Management, you will enhance, build, deliver, and operate firmwide technology solutions. You will design and develop secure, high quality full stack software while applying strong problem solving skills across diverse technologies and applications. Collaborating closely with partners in an agile environment, you will translate complex needs into reliable systems. You will own your work through production, helping ensure operational stability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include identifying problems, proposing solutions, and executing software design, development, operations, and technical troubleshooting. You will develop secure, high quality full stack production code, review and debug code, and support the products you build through the full lifecycle, including production support and incident management. You will analyze data to uncover hidden problems and patterns, using insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture. Collaboration with teams to understand functional requirements of complex business applications is essential.

You will contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies, promoting a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. Leveraging enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment, you will improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards. You will apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to enhance automation value.

Requirements

Experience
- Practical knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency with front end languages and frameworks such as TypeScript and React.
- Proficiency with server side languages and frameworks such as Java and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as REST APIs.
- Ability to develop, debug, and maintain code using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Solid understanding of agile practices, including continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment, with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.

Qualifications
