As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Accelerator business, you are the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Use domain modeling techniques to build best-in-class business products
- Structure software for ease of understanding, testing, and evolution
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant solutions avoiding single points of failure
- Develop secure code protecting customers and the company from malicious actors
- Investigate and fix issues promptly, ensuring they do not recur
- Ensure zero downtime releases for end-users
- Optimize data read/write operations
- Monitor and improve system performance
- Maintain system reliability and operational ease
- Continuously update technologies and patterns
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
- Contribute reusable patterns and learnings to improve team effectiveness
- Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including AI-assisted development and automation, to maximize automation value

Technologies:
We primarily use JVM-based languages (Java/Kotlin) but also incorporate other languages as needed. We prefer open source solutions when appropriate and build custom solutions when necessary. We are entirely cloud native and aim to build a truly multi-cloud solution. Each problem is approached independently to select the right technology. We embrace innovation while focusing on building lasting solutions that solve real-world problems for real customers.

Experience
Formal training or certification in problem-solving concepts with proficient applied experience. Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., coding, test creation, troubleshooting, documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
