About the Role
Our Future Health is an ambitious collaboration between the public, charity and private sectors, designed to help people live healthier lives for longer through better prevention, earlier detection and improved treatment of diseases. We accelerate the discovery of new methods for early disease detection and the evaluation of diagnostic tools to identify and treat diseases early, improving outcomes. With over 2.5 million volunteers across the UK, we are the world’s largest health research programme of its kind, with a diverse volunteer group.
Technology and data are central to our mission. Our systems power websites, clinics, secure analytics and research platforms, and pipelines processing highly sensitive health and genetic data. We are expanding our engineering capability to support this ambition.
We are hiring a full-stack focused mid-level Software Engineer to join our Research Enablement squad. You will work alongside a Staff Software Engineer, a Security Engineer, and other cross-functional colleagues. This squad operates at the intersection of the Trusted Research Environment (TRE) and bespoke security tooling. Our vision is to create a secure, trusted, and state-of-the-art research environment empowering researchers with their health research.
Our engineers take total ownership, handling frontend, backend, and infrastructure. Our core tech stack includes Typescript, Node.js, WebAssembly, PostgreSQL, Terraform (IaC), running in Azure/Kubernetes.
If you are passionate about your work, consistently develop high-quality code, and are skilled at identifying, preventing, and troubleshooting problems, we would love to hear from you.
