About the Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and motivated technologists with expertise in cloud technologies, AI, Generative AI, and data analytics to join our UK Solutions Architecture team. This diverse team works closely with AWS customers in the Travel and Hospitality industry to understand their unique needs and challenges. As a Solutions Architect, you will blend business acumen with technical guidance to engage organizations at all stages of cloud adoption, helping them reinvent their businesses using AWS technology and guiding their cloud journey. You will manage the overall technical relationship with customers, lead architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos, and technical workshops, and engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels to influence decision-making.

Internally, you will represent the voice of the customer, sharing their needs to inform AWS feature roadmaps while collaborating with account management, professional services, support, and the AWS partner ecosystem. You will practice creativity by linking technology to tangible solutions and educating customers about the art of the possible. You will create and share best practices at scale, including technical content and reference architectures for use cases such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Serverless and Container-based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security. AWS supports your growth in industry and technology areas in depth.

A typical day includes preparing for customer meetings, understanding business goals, offering strategic advice, collaborating on technical architecture design, leading workshops, and sharing best practices. You will balance relationship-building with technical work while continually learning to stay current with evolving technologies.

Experience
- Experience within specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries

Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desired but not required, provided you have a sound technical foundation and a strong desire to learn
- Preferred qualifications include experience working within software development or Internet-related industries, migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud, and working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
