About the Role
This role is within the UK organization, primarily working with Financial Services customers across the UK, with a focus on Insurance. As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate closely with AWS customers to help them maximize the value of the Cloud. You will be at the intersection of business and technology, engaging with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption. You will take a leading role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices, owning the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS. Your guidance will cover security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

You will work to understand customer business needs and provide prescriptive guidance on creating business value through technology. Collaboration with account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem is key to your success. This role offers the opportunity to apply creativity by linking technology to tangible solutions and educating customers about the possibilities within a diverse and evolving market.

You will work closely with an Account Executive to help customers achieve their outcomes using AWS technology. The Solutions Architecture team is diverse, welcoming technologists from various backgrounds. While practical AWS platform knowledge is desired, it is not required if you have a strong technical foundation and a desire to learn. You will receive support to grow your expertise in industry and technology areas of depth. Every day brings new learning opportunities from customers, peers, and your own experiments.

Experience
- Experience within specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Qualifications
- Preferred experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective is advantageous.
