About the Role
Oasis Academy Arena is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious individual to join our team as a Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprentice (Level 5) with HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential whilst gaining a nationally recognised Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship qualification. The role combines specialist SEND support with Higher Level Teaching Assistant responsibilities, providing a unique pathway for career progression in education.
Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and independence, and thrive both academically and personally.
Job Purpose:
- Supporting pupils in lessons, interventions and enrichment activities.
- Delivering targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND and SEMH.
- Leading learning activities for individuals, small groups and, where appropriate, whole classes.
- Supporting teaching staff with planning, preparation and assessment.
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews and support plans.
- Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals to improve outcomes for young people.

Experience
Enthusiasm and commitment to supporting young people. Previous experience in education or SEND support is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

Qualifications
