About the Role
The OTS Deployment Program Management team plans and executes large-scale IT Infrastructure projects for all Amazon Operations customers, including Fulfillment, Transportation, and Logistics. This role focuses on the design, procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of IT infrastructure and equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations Engineering, Real Estate/Construction, WW Engineering, IT Infrastructure Engineering, Tech Deployment, and Field IT Teams to implement new facility launches, expansions, decommissions, and deployment of new business solutions.
As a Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, you will manage projects or programs involving physical IT infrastructure build and deployment. You will own programs ranging from New Site Launch to Engineering to Customer Programs, problem-solving IT infrastructure build risks and issues with technical delivery teams and engineers. You will work closely with stakeholders to create efficiencies, manage scope creep, control IT budgets, and meet milestone deliverables with minimal schedule impact.
Projects will be geographically dispersed, requiring excellent communication skills to coordinate onsite and remote resources. You will serve as the single point of contact for end-to-end IT project management and execution.

Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing IT programs from initiation through completion, including scope, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and execution
- Providing project management and clear direction to project teams regarding IT timelines, risks, escalation paths, and deliverables
- Acting as an escalation point for project teams and stakeholders
- Maintaining knowledge of IT hardware and equipment standards to ensure timely and accurate orders
- Proactively managing change control, communicating impacts on scope, identifying risks and issues, and devising contingency plans
- Identifying and managing project deliverables and critical paths
- Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones
- Tracking and communicating program/project milestones, deliverables, and risks
- Providing on-site monitoring and enforcement of install schedules and vendor quality
- Inspecting prospective and completed facilities to ensure compliance with corporate standards and procedures
- Facilitating formal turnover with onsite teams and business partners, monitoring deliverables until launch or project milestone achievement
- Maintaining daily communication and partnership with internal and external stakeholders
- Updating or developing documentation on critical processes for successful project execution

Experience
- 5+ years managing network infrastructure or end user device deployment at scale
- Experience managing conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise, influencing others, and problem solving with engineering teams
- Experience in a technical position
