Today we focus on commercial insurance, marketplaces and primary healthcare, but the potential for Virtual Agents extends far beyond these sectors. Having closed $15M Series A funding in 2024 and backed by leading AI investors, we work with world-class clients such as Substack, Trustpilot, Depop, and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Bring new products to market by productising our combined service and product offering
- Re-imagine and refactor existing services and tooling into scalable, robust capabilities to support business growth
- Bridge our Machine Learning, Product and Platform Engineering teams by providing software 'glue' expertise

You will report to a Staff Engineer and collaborate closely with operations engineering and customer success teams to prioritize customer needs, resolve technical issues, lead post-mortems, operate the AI decision engine, update workflows, contribute to internal tooling, and maintain documentation. Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation is required.

Experience
- Expert Python development experience with production-grade code
- Proven track record of bringing products to market, ideally taking a product from 0 to 1 or productising a service offering
- Experience re-imagining and refactoring systems and tooling to scale reliably with business growth
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents and agentic tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex)
- Advocate for strong software engineering practices, standards, and culture

About you
- Product-focused software engineer with deep technical expertise who takes ownership of problems end-to-end
- Comfortable working across the stack and disciplines, shaping new products and rebuilding existing systems
- Excellent communicator, able to collaborate across machine learning, product, and platform engineering teams
- Versatile, eager to learn and grow with the company
- Motivated to remain hands-on for at least the next 12 months

Qualifications
It would be advantageous, but not essential, if you have:
- Previous experience working in a startup or small team
- Confidence using AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience with workflow orchestration systems (e.g. Temporal)
- Ability to venture into Data Engineering, MLOps and/or Platform Engineering
