About the Role
Historic Royal Palaces is an independent charity caring for six of the world’s most iconic palaces. We bring the stories of these palaces to life, making them meaningful and accessible to all. We are seeking additional casual Stage Managers to work across our sites, primarily at the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace, to ensure the smooth running of performances and rehearsals for our live programmes, including shows and events, in collaboration with all relevant departments.
Stage Managers will host, enable and support a diverse range of creatives, artists, performers and technical collaborators (‘the Company’). This key role supports the Live Programmes and Interpretation and Design Teams to realise the artistic vision of live productions and events to the high standards set by Historic Royal Palaces. You will act as the lead contact on performance days for the cast and HRP Operations Teams, ensuring punctuality of cast members and the correct setup and maintenance of props.
You will work effectively as part of a team, ensuring all tasks are completed with quality, efficiency and safety in line with HRP standards.

Experience
Proven experience in stage management or stage technical management within theatres, festivals or other large-scale events. Experience working with a variety of creative collaborators and performers is essential. Knowledge of best practices in production processes and theatre making is required.
About you
You are dynamic, highly organised and able to think on your feet, proposing workable solutions when unforeseen situations arise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to project confidence and exercise tact in relationships with creative teams and artists.
Qualifications
There are no specific qualifications required for this role, but a strong background in stage management and production is expected.
