As a Startup Solutions Architect, you will work hand in hand with AWS customers to help them maximize the value of the Cloud. Positioned at the crossroads of business and technology, you will engage with startups at various stages, supporting the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS. You will understand customer business needs and provide prescriptive guidance on creating business value with technology.

You will also contribute at scale by creating and presenting technical content and best practices. This role allows you to practice creativity by linking technology to tangible solutions and educating AWS customers about the art of the possible. You will produce cloud-native reference architectures for diverse use cases and grow your expertise in industry and technology areas of depth.

Every day you will learn from customers, peers, and your own experiments. You will be part of a team dedicated to startups, a unique and growing subset of AWS customers with distinct technology adoption patterns and growth trajectories. You will employ engagement strategies and programs tailored to their business needs and technical preferences.

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team drives revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. The AWS Global Support team partners with customers building mission-critical applications on AWS services.

Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to accelerate projects and recommend best-practice architectures aligned with their long-term business outcomes.
- Operate as a trusted advisor for startups, providing guidance shaped by customer priorities and adding value with AWS and Partner technologies.
- Capture and share the voice of the customer to influence AWS feature and service roadmaps.
- Participate in creating or updating technical content and reference architectures such as white papers, code samples, and blog posts.
- Evangelize and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.

A Day in the Life
You will meet multiple customers weekly, collaborating on designing and operating well-architected cloud solutions. You will earn customer trust by demonstrating the art of the possible and educating them on AWS capabilities. Partnering with internal teams and experts, you will craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures addressing business challenges. Continuous learning and innovation are integral to this role.

About the Team
The AWS startup organization includes experts from the global ecosystem—former founders, CTOs, venture capitalists, angel investors, and mentors—who upskill founders to navigate challenges and opportunities. The Startup Solutions Architecture team focuses on helping startups deploy the best, most scalable, and secure architectures efficiently. The team comprises technologists with varied backgrounds, from fresh graduates to ex-CTOs, all growing their skills while working on cutting-edge technology use cases with innovative companies.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in IT development, implementation, or consulting within software or Internet industries.
- Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders.
