About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and analytically sharp VP Strategy Manager to support the AI for Tech Transformation Program, a high-visibility initiative driving JPMorganChase's adoption of generative AI across its technology organization. This role requires the ability to flex between data analyst, product manager, and program/project organizer modes, with frequent direct engagement with CIOs and senior executives. Success depends on high judgment, precise communication, and the ability to translate ambiguity into clear decisions, actionable plans, and Operating Committee-ready materials.
This role blends AI awareness, data-driven analysis, and executive communication, acting as a key contributor in the effort to scale AI-powered developer tools across the firm. You will work closely with senior technology leaders and cross-functional teams to support transformation planning, track adoption progress, and deliver compelling materials for leadership audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of generative AI coding and developer productivity tool rollouts across JPMorganChase's technology organization.
- Collaborate with CIO-direct and CIO-1 level leaders to prepare materials, coordinate workstreams, and track progress against transformation milestones.
- Stay current on the emerging generative AI landscape, including AI-assisted coding platforms, LLM-based developer tools, and intelligent automation trends, synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of AI-impacted engineering productivity metrics that quantify the value of generative AI tool adoption.
- Produce rapid prototypes, demos, and lightweight working artifacts to accelerate discovery, decision-making, and delivery.
- Build and maintain analytical models tracking developer velocity, code quality improvements, cycle time reduction, and other KPIs tied to AI-augmented workflows.
- Create clear, visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations providing leadership with real-time insight into transformation progress and adoption trends.
- Develop Operating Committee-level presentations, executive briefings, and leadership updates that clearly articulate program vision, progress, and impact.
- Support regular stakeholder communications to ensure alignment across lines of business, corporate functions, and technology leadership.
- Partner with engineering, product, data science, and architecture teams to ensure AI tool rollouts reflect real-world developer needs and enterprise standards.
- Support change management efforts by driving awareness, training materials, and adoption tracking across the technology workforce.
- Build productive working relationships across the firm's technology ecosystem, connecting innovation teams, platform engineering, and program leadership.
Experience
- 5+ years in technology strategy, transformation, product engineering, or program roles within large, complex organizations.
- Solid understanding of the generative AI ecosystem, including AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), LLM concepts, and evolving AI developer toolchains.
- Daily, hands-on use of AI tools with a demonstrated passion to learn, experiment, and reinvent workflows.
- Prior engineering or SDLC delivery experience is a plus.
- Experience developing engineering productivity metrics and KPIs, with the ability to design measurement frameworks and track outcomes.
- Strong PowerPoint and executive communication skills, capable of building polished, Operating Committee-level presentations.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and operating professionally in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
- Good technical acumen to engage credibly with software engineers and data teams while maintaining a strategic perspective.
About You
- Curious, technically inclined, and energized by the opportunity to shape how AI transforms software engineering at scale.
- Strong collaborator who can build productive relationships across diverse teams.
- Adaptable and able to manage ambiguity while delivering clear, actionable outcomes.
- Passionate about innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in technology management consulting, product engineering, financial services, or large-scale technology organizations with complex governance.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, DevOps/DevEx methodologies, or platform engineering concepts.
- Exposure to change management practices and experience supporting enterprise-wide adoption or behavioral change initiatives.
- MBA, degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
