About the Role
As a Streetworks Officer, you will play a vital role within Westminster City Council’s Highways Services. You will be responsible for delivering the permitting of works on the highway, including issuing licenses, permits, Temporary Traffic Orders, and Crane Licenses. Your work will be varied and dynamic, involving collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders to monitor and challenge quality standards, aiming to minimise complaints and maximise efficiency. You will provide expert advice and guidance on network management, works coordination, and legislative compliance, ensuring on-street staff are effectively tasked to maximise compliance and minimise risk. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and resilience of Westminster’s highway network while advancing your career in a high-profile environment.
Experience
Proven experience in street works or Highways Network Management. Familiarity with Traffic Management and ETON complaint software systems. Knowledge of Highways Legislation and the ability to understand technical failures in highway structures.
