About the Role
This role sits within the Structured Credit Middle Office (SCMO) team, part of Global Middle Office within the Operations department. SCMO provides trade management and first-line support for Exotic Credit trading and structuring desks. The Structured Credit business trades a full suite of structured products including CLNs, structured financing repos/loans, credit derivatives, and associated hedging instruments such as Bonds, CDS, credit indices, futures, and swaps.
The successful candidate will be required to understand Exotic products booking processes, valuation models, and downstream interaction with confirmation and settlement systems. Responsibilities include managing relationships with senior traders and other stakeholders such as offshore teams, business managers, regulatory reporting, and risk management. The role involves developing controls and governance frameworks to accommodate the bespoke nature of the structured business, reviewing Front Office trade booking against term sheets and blotters, and managing the trade lifecycle including call events, structured note issuance, and complex cashflow management.
The candidate will work closely with support functions including documentation, settlements, valuations, collateral management, and reconciliations, providing full operational support to Front Office. Proactive process and system improvement, closing control gaps, and coordinating across departments and regions to deliver enhancements are key aspects of the role. Additional duties include producing T0 P&L Flash reports with risk-based P&L attribution and commentary, and creating and reviewing daily trading activity reports.
Experience
Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Good exotic derivative product knowledge, preferably Credit, including bookings and documentation. Proven understanding of controls required throughout the trade lifecycle. Proficiency in Excel is essential.

Possess a control mindset with a good understanding of operational risks. Ability to manage own time and responsibilities independently. Proactive in investigating and resolving issues as well as identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls. Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Relevant experience in structured credit or exotic derivatives is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and across regions.
