About the Role
Teesside University London is expanding rapidly in its third year of operation, providing a supportive and future-focused environment for students from diverse backgrounds. We are seeking an exceptional Student & Operations Assistant to join our established Student Support team. This frontline role is key to delivering a positive experience for students and staff across the TU London campus.
As part of a small, flexible team, you will provide a proactive first-line enquiry service, resolving queries and signposting students and staff appropriately. Your day-to-day duties will include operational and administrative support across student support, campus operations, event coordination, UKVI compliance, partnership, and communications.
Additionally, you will play an important role in engaging students in extra-curricular activities by exploring opportunities and encouraging participation to foster a strong student community at TU London.
The role is based at Here East, Stratford, which offers a dynamic environment with local food and coffee outlets, a spa, barbers, retro video-game bar, gym, and excellent transport links including a free shuttle bus from Stratford International or Stratford City Station.

Experience
Experience in administrative work with strong attention to detail is essential. Experience of higher education is desirable, either as a graduate or through transferable skills from a similar sector. Strong customer service skills and a proactive, flexible approach are required.

An outgoing and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about creating an outstanding student and staff experience. You should demonstrate a student-centred approach and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of students. Excellent problem-solving skills and highly developed oral and written communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are stated; however, digital skills including proficiency with MS Office programs are required. A willingness to develop your own knowledge and skills is important.
