As a Student Support Officer, you will work as part of the safeguarding team to support and assist the Safeguarding Leads in implementing and delivering safeguarding measures, ensuring full compliance with legislation, regulation, and best practice. You will be the first point of contact for staff and others, providing advice, guidance, coordinating, and case managing safeguarding concerns.

You will support risk assessments related to potential safeguarding concerns to ensure student welfare and wellbeing are adequately and appropriately supported. This role requires a passion for working with young people, excellent communication and organisational skills, good IT and numeracy skills, flexibility, the ability to use your own initiative, and to work with minimal supervision. Most importantly, you must be able to inspire and motivate young people.

Experience
Experience working with young people or in a safeguarding environment is desirable but not explicitly stated. A passion for supporting young people is essential.

You are motivated, organised, and able to work flexibly and independently. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young people. You are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.

Qualifications
