£34,000 - £37,000 per annum
About the Role
Walthamstow Academy, sponsored by United Learning, is seeking a motivated, committed and caring Student Support Officer to join our dynamic and vibrant learning environment. You will support young people to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential through one-to-one support, intervention, and group activities during and beyond the school day. Experience and knowledge of child protection and safeguarding is advantageous, but full training will be provided.

Experience
Experience and knowledge of child protection and safeguarding is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. Previous experience working with young people facing emotional, psychological, or social challenges is beneficial.
About you
You are a motivated, committed, and caring individual passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives. You will be confident and effective in supporting students with a range of needs including depression, eating disorders, bullying, family issues, sexual health concerns, relationship issues, and substance abuse. You will be able to liaise with external agencies such as social services and work collaboratively with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
