About the Role
Amazon's Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business, ensuring our complex international supply chains operate seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from operational teams fulfilling customer orders to retail teams and beyond. Your focus will be on optimizing supply chains to enhance the customer experience while driving energy and cost efficiency across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inbound Service Level Management & Stock Availability: Own and drive inbound service level performance to ensure timely receipt of inventory, maximise product availability, and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Inventory Space Planning & Capacity Optimisation: Manage inventory placement and space allocation across fulfilment sites to ensure efficient utilisation of storage capacity and plan for incoming stock.
- Inbound Scheduling & Short-Term Planning: Lead inbound scheduling and execute weekly planning adjustments to respond to demand fluctuations and operational constraints.
- Pallet Optimisation & Vendor Compliance: Drive single-product pallet compliance and adoption, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to increase efficiency and reduce handling costs.
- Inbound Flow Predictability & Volume Smoothing: Improve inbound flow predictability through level loading initiatives, supplier schedule management, and delivery trial programmes.
- Data Analysis & Supply Chain Modelling: Analyse data to identify efficiency improvements and define supply chain and operating models for various business lines.
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Operational Support: Partner with Operations and Retail teams to manage fulfilment challenges, driving resolution and continuous improvement.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Support planning and organisation of complex, cross-functional projects to improve supply chain performance.
A day in the life involves problem solving, working with multiple teams to navigate challenges impacting the network. The role is both proactive and reactive, balancing on-the-ground tasks with tactical planning. You will have the opportunity to forecast and plan for new projects, with no two days being the same. Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL
- Program or project management experience
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Supply chain experience

Qualifications
