About the Role
Outward is seeking proactive and passionate Support Workers to join our dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, and complex needs. This role combines direct care responsibilities with service coordination, offering a unique opportunity to empower individuals to live independent and fulfilling lives.
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, while managing aspects of service delivery such as support planning, key working, rota oversight, and staff guidance. You will work closely with the Deputy or Team Manager to ensure services are well-managed, person-centred, and aligned with Outward’s core values of engage, enable, and empower.
Your responsibilities will include providing direct support, assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity, administering medication, maintaining accurate records, and working collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals. You will also follow safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures, and work flexibly across multiple services including evenings and weekends to ensure consistent service delivery.

Experience
- Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management in care/support settings
- Knowledge of health and safety within supported housing or care environments
- Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and data protection principles
- Access to a smartphone capable of receiving SMS and installing authentication apps for secure system access
- Right to Work in the UK (Outward does not provide visa sponsorship)

Qualifications
- Good general education (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths preferred)
- Basic IT skills including email, Microsoft Office, electronic care records, and online training systems
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Additional training in PBS, safeguarding, or housing-related legislation is desirable
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential
