We are seeking proactive and passionate female Support Workers to join our dedicated team supporting adults in Waltham Forest. This is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, as the people we support have personal care, privacy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing needs that require female staff.

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in empowering individuals to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will work closely with Support Coordinators, Deputies, and Team Managers to ensure person-centred, well-managed services aligned with Outward’s core values of engage, enable, and empower.

Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality care and support, key working with individuals to discuss needs and risks, contributing to support plans, reporting concerns and incidents, and working within one service or a floating support team. You will also provide cover for other similar services within the area as needed.

We expect you to uphold the rights and wishes of the people we support, manage finances appropriately where required, follow all policies and procedures, maintain accurate records, and contribute to recruitment and training activities. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, confidentiality, and dignity at all times, acting as an ambassador for Outward and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.

This role requires flexibility, responsibility, and a commitment to delivering person-centred care in a supported living environment.

Experience
- Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management in care/support settings
- Knowledge of health and safety issues within supported housing or care environments
- Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and data protection principles
- Experience with PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) approach is beneficial but not essential as training is provided

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
- Additional training in PBS, safeguarding, or housing-related legislation is advantageous but not essential
